Only 15 driving minutes away from more of the most beautiful beaches and diving spots Curacao has to offer (over 25!). Great places to eat, have a refreshing drink, watch the flamingos, visit local artists, go horseback riding or buy some groceries within 15 minutes by car.
The historic and world-famous city center of Willemstad, the recently opened Sambil International shopping center and one of the 3 golf courses the island has to offer are within 30 minutes by car.
The house offers lots of privacy and lets you enjoy the beautiful view whether you relax in the living room, cool down under the windy enjoy the sun on the deck or take a plunge the pool. Be aware that the bedrooms are in a separate building from the main living areas and each one has an outside entrance. There are no doors connecting any of the bedrooms.
You can enjoy the villa, garden and pool which offer a lot of privacy. The property lies on Coral Estate Beach Dive & Wellness Resort in a stunning natural environment. There is a beach which is part of the famous restaurant "Karakter". You can make use of the general pool with our bar & fine dining restaurant "Koraal".
For relaxation take a day to go to Spa "8 - the Experience". They offer treatments, massages and different saunas.

During your holiday we are delighted to be your travel guide on the Island. At the Villa were you will find a directory with all information needed about the villa/resort and a tour book that allows you to explore all Curacao has to offer.
We would recommend you to rent a car which is done by most travelers in Curaçao.
That way you can easily explore the island (only 60 km in length) and get the most out of many activities, beaches and places to go and see. Coral Estate is located in the middle of the island and 20 minutes away from the airport. You don't need a car to enjoy the nearby beach, spa and nature surrounding the house.

everything is as described
We immediately felt home at villa 308. everything is as described and we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside is that there are no (more?) ceiling fans on the veranda and bedrooms which would have been much appreciated (cooling effect and to keep mosquitos away)
Organization before and on check out date was just great. We might come back!

very sad to leave
We had a fantastic stay at Villa 308. It is an odd house and some of it takes some getting used to, but the rewards are magnificent views, ample space and serenity.
I will reiterate what has been mentioned in previous reviews, but worth ensuring you understand if you book here. The house is close to 10 minutes drive inside the Coral Estate property. You will do a lot of driving. But the views and breezes make up for it. There were plenty of days we were content to stay at our pool. The bedrooms are in a separate structure separated by a courtyard. It is an ideal layout for three couples, or a family with two kids. There were just three of us (parents and one teenager) so the amount of space felt luxurious. The layout requires you to throw the doors (there are ten of them!) in the open living/kitchen area open to let the breeze flow through. And it did, magnificently, for 8 of the 9 nights we were there. Only on the last night did we suddenly find it still and humid. As a family averse to bugs and mosquitoes, we had concerns about the setup, but had minimal problems. We left with fewer mosquito bites than any prior Caribbean trip (never mind if we had been in the Northeast US). The space, with the huge open area and patio, is really designed for entertaining, but for this NYC family it just let us spread out and breathe. It is every bit as spectacular as the pictures. More so, perhaps.
The pool is big and beautifully situated to watch the waves or night stars (not great for little ones - it has no shallow end). The pavilion down by the water is a great place for yoga, a drink or watching the sunset.
The bedrooms are all spacious, with great en suite showers. We had no issues with water temperature, pressure or leakage.
The design also let the bedrooms stay pretty cool through the day until you could turn the A/C on at night. Again, no issues with that.
Small issues (that did not detract from this being a great experience):
- We were a little confused at check in as there were two lock boxes we had to use to get the gate remote and door key.
- I don’t think we would have found the place if the Coral Estate security guard had not driven us to the property.
- A heavy early morning rainstorm (the only rain we had in 9 days) unknowingly triggered a circuit breaker, which knocked out all outside lights (something we discovered when we came home in the dark the following night).
- The beds only have sheets (no blankets). While I know the A/C should not be so cold at night as to require blankets, lots of people like to sleep with the weight of a blanket on them.
- We were a little confused when we arrived as there is a 4th bedroom taken as an office. There were also people coming and going and leaving trash in the trash cans. But they never disturbed us.
- The landscaping team will probably arrive when you are trying to enjoy the pool.
- While bugs were manageable, be prepared for cats and Iguanas on the pool deck. :D
The Van Engelenberg team was quick to respond to questions and small issues.
Ultimately, we were very sad to leave, which is the best measure of a stay.

the view
The best thing about this house are the views and that it’s in a gated community. We were supplied with plenty of towels.
If your looking to be close to downtown be prepared to drive about 40-45 minutes.
It took us a while to find the house as the complex was so big and the addresses aren’t really in order.
We didn’t like that AC was only available during certain times and is controlled. The AC is only available 7pm-10am. If you are there in the day time it’s really hot and miserable. One of those days we were trying to get ready for a wedding and it took so long to get dressed because our skin was moist from sweating. To get AC outside of the designated times is $30 a day. I think it’s better to just include it in the overall price.
There is no protection from the bugs. No screens, candles or any bug repellent.

home is absolutely beautiful.
This home is absolutely beautiful. I was afraid the pictures would be a tease but it is actually better in person. The layout worked great for our family (we have older children). The pool and view are incredible. We had a few minor questions/issues that we promptly answered by staff. The person that met us to show us the home - gave us her what's app and was so helpful when we had questions about restaurants, beaches, attractions, etc.

it was a pleasure staying at Villa 308, I would definitely recommend.
Just returned from a 6 day trip at Villa 308 and it was absolutely stunning! Perfect for our girls trip of 6. Though a little far from the town, it’s a drive well worth it.
Despite a few unforeseen hiccups with two of the bathrooms, the villa manager was quick to respond and have the issue sorted as soon as possible. Though we were a bit inconvenienced for the night of not being able to shower until 1am after a long flight we made the best of it at home.
To all future guests, note there are no grocery stores or food places that are open after 9/10pm. Be sure to stock up on your groceries or use the services available.
Renting a car is DEFINITELY a must as taxis can get a bit expensive, we had to call a taxi a couple nights and paid $200USD each night because the drive to and from downtown was a bit tiring after a long day on the beach.
Our only yet major con would be the gardeners etc in the courtyard area one day when we got back. This definitely took us by surprise and a bit uncomfortable especially as a group of females to be greeted by 2 men in our space. We definitely didn’t think they would had access through the main door to be in our space while walking around in our swimsuits etc.
All in all it was a pleasure staying at Villa 308, I would definitely recommend.
